Cristian Jaty Silva serves as a Managing Director for 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions in Brazil. He has 35 years of experience in the Brazilian heavy equipment and industrial plant construction business in the power, oil & gas, mining and steel industries. In addition to his senior management and consulting roles in the industry, he has been very active in key industry associations that include; ABEMI (Industrial Engineering) and ABIMAQ (Machine Builders), leading several working groups.
Cristian has served as a strategy and planning consultant with key customers in the construction and equipment manufacturing fields. While living in Rio de Janeiro from 2010-2014, he worked with innovative technologies as well as a private equity fund technical consultant. He has held senior management positions at Jaraguá and Bardella, two of the most important heavy equipment builders in Brazil.
He has a Metallurgical Engineering Degree and BA Post Graduation Degree from Mackenzie University, an MBA in Corporate Finance from FIA – São Paulo University and has participated in Sustainability Studies with Dom Cabral Foundation.
Cristian is fluent in Portuguese and English and enjoys wakeboarding and rowing on weekends with his family.
