César holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from UFRGS, in addition to an MBA in Finance from PUCRJ.
He has had a 20-year career acting as CFO in top-tier international companies in Brazil and Africa, where he successfully implemented internal controls, management reporting, analysis of KPIs, and cost reduction.
Mr. Mergener has solid experience in M&A processes, refined over many years through his work as an independent consultant, which will now be leveraged in his work with 1stWEST M&A.
Mr. Mergener lives in Rio de Janeiro, where he enjoys mentoring start-up companies in his personal time. Mr. Mergener speaks fluent Portuguese and English, in addition to French and Spanish.
