Stefan brings comprehensive knowledge of the German, Austrian, Swiss, Dutch and Swedish markets. With over 25 years of corporate level senior management experience in automation, medical device and industrial lubricant, he understands the complexities of engineering and manufacturing in an industrialized European setting.
In his previous position as the President and CEO of Berghof GmbH in Eningen Germany, Stefan was responsible for the P&L of five individual GmbH organizations, as well as three additional business units. He achieved annual revenue growth from $35M to $60M through strategic expansion and globalization.
Stefan previously served General Manager of the Vascular Access and Global Director New Initiatives at Gambro. There he was responsible for overseeing operations, R&D, OEM-product management and distributor contracting. As a part of the leadership team of one of the largest European medical technology companies, he has been on both sides of acquisitions during his 20-year tenure. In his last liquidity event, Stefan led the acquisition proposal for the $40M business unit be sold to Baxter International.
Working in several European countries, including Sweden, Czech Republic, Italy, and the Netherlands has solidified Stefan’s cultural acuity. His understanding of cultural differences and drivers has greatly influenced the success of his transactions, both in the pre- and post-acquisition phases.
Stefan received his Master of Science in Chemistry from the University of Konstanz in Baden-Württemberg, Germany.
