Laura Isaza serves as an Analyst for 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions. She has four years of experience in project management, research, public relations and international affairs. Laura is a native of Medellin, Colombia where she attended school and began her career. Laura has a unique set of business and cross cultural skill sets that will be very helpful to our 1stWEST Mergers & Acquisitions team.
Prior to coming to the United States, Laura worked for the Agency for Cooperation and Investment of Medellin, Colombia as an International Affairs Advisor. In this role, she was in charge of the creation and implementation of guidelines for the city, as well as the international outreach and positioning of Medellin programs throughout the world. In addition, Laura developed the theoretical framework and logistics for high level meetings with foreign companies, private investors, government agencies and diplomatic personnel.
Laura received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Medellin, Colombia. She is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Global Finance, Trade and Economic Integration at the University of Denver with a concentration on finance and project management. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. Laura enjoys various outdoor activities in the beautiful Rocky Mountain region along with overseas travel.
